Goals - chased and achieved

When we chase a goal- slog for it- plan, sweat, rue and work for it, we are at peace with our self. We know- that we are striving hard to achieve what we have aimed for- We disdainfully exclaim and rue over the fact- how hard we are working- how unachievable the goal seems. But as, we come close to it- or as we see what we had set sight on -getting clearer- getting nearer- the dilemma starts- the peace vanishes- the dilemma whether we have chose the right lane- right goal- whether it is worth it. You can ask- Do we not think over this issue before starting to pursue - Yes, we do. But in excitement of chasing the dream- we don't realise the full potent or effect of it- once we succeed or are in vicinity of success. It is not the pursuance but the closeness of its stature that unnerves us.
And we start regretting the day we opted for this meaningless pursuance. But is it worthless or meaningless- as we feel now- or are we just intimidated by its omniscient stature? The question lingers and haunts us. We lose peace and - sleep.

Amen to that brother. but I feel that it is more because of the end of an era of exitement. while we pursue a goal we are intoxicated by the enthusiasm of pursuing it and the strife to attain it cheers us up all the way, in a way the longer it staysout of our hands we are ready to do whatever it takes to gainit but the moment it is within our reach we tend to lose interest, perhaps because we know we have made it and suddenly there's no more fun to pursue. but being psychologically twisted that we are, we do not tend to accept the fact for the mere fear f being fickle minded but we tend to see this as doubts also sometimes doubts do actually close in as while pursuing our goals we were having just to much fun to see clearly but as the "D"day approaches we start feeling cautious.
